The Port Authority of Cayman Islands advises that the Harbour will most likely be impacted with rough seas from Sunday evening due to a cold front.
The forecast from the Met Office is for the following:
Sunday morning to late afternoon: winds South to Southwest at 5 to 10 knots , Seas 1 to 3 feet.
Some swells are likely from Sunday afternoon.
Sunday evening with the passage of the front:
Winds Northwest at 10 to 15 knots; Seas 3 to 4 feet in Northwest Waves; increasing to 4 to 6 feet behind the front and overnight.
Small craft should exercise caution over open water near the approach of the cold front.
Monday: winds Northerly 15 to 20 knots with higher gust; Seas 5 to 7 feet with swells are still likely within Northerly waves.
Monday night: Northeasterly 15 to 20 knots with higher gust; Seas 5 to 7 feet; North -Northeast waves.
Small craft warning would be in effect.
Tuesday to Tuesday night: winds East-Northeast 20 to 25 knots, Seas 6 to 8 feet. East-northeast waves.
Small craft warning in effect.
