The Port Authority would like to inform our valued customers of the following rate changes that came in to effect January 1, 2024.
- Cargo dues for vehicles weighing less than 6 tons is now $300. Vehicles weighing 6 tons or more is now $500 (regulation 116.5A).
- Storage charges for vehicles are now calculated at $25 per vehicle per day after 5 business days grace period (regulation 128.2B).
- The fee for the trucking of containers from the dock to the Cargo Distribution center is now $60 for a 20’ container, $120 for a 40’ container and $135 for a 45’ container (regulation 120.1A).
- Dedicated containers (containers holding cargo for a single consignee) are now charged $400 for a 20’ container, $800 for a 40’ container and $900 for a 45’ container (regulation 122.1A).
- Loose cargo, both dry and refrigerated, is now charged at $20 per ton or cubic ton (whichever is greater). One ton is calculated as 2000 lbs or 40 cubic feet (regulation 122.4B/C/D).
- Storage charges for cargo other than vehicles is now charged at $5.25 per whole ton (round the weight up to the next ton) per day after 5 business days grace period (regulation 128.2A).
- The passenger fee for cruise passengers is now $5.74 per passenger (regulation 129.8).
